Malka is a Kosher-certified restaurant that brings to life a seasonal menu inspired by vibrant dishes from around the world. Founded by celebrity Chef Eyal Shani, the Malka dining experience is rooted in its homeland of Tel Aviv - where it all started. Malka is currently located in Tel Aviv, New York City, Brooklyn, and West Palm Beach.
For Eyal Shani, “opening a kosher restaurant is the most natural thing in the world. Every day I bow to the divine creation in my own way - sometimes it's called zucchini and sometimes it's called lettuce. But there were many people who could not eat my food - food that I have been making for years - for kosher reasons. They would look at it from the side and would like to lick it. In Judaism they say that kosher is a limitation, but this limitation produces wonderful forms of food.”
ABOUT
ABOUT EYAL SHANI
Chef Eyal Shani was born in Jerusalem in 1959. His culinary passion was first instilled in him by his grandfather, an agronomist and a dedicated vegan, who exposed him to local markets, fields, and vineyards from a young age. In 1989, he opened his first restaurant "Oceanus" in his home town of Jerusalem. There, he developed a unique culinary language based on regional Mediterranean products: olive oil, fish, tahini, fresh seasonal vegetables and of course, the tomato.
Joined by his partner, Shahar Segal, the duo operates HaSalon, North Abraxas, North Miznon, Lilienblum, SHMONÉ, Miznon, Port Sa'id, Romano, Mirage, Malka, Dvorah and their sister restaurants around the globe.

Kosher Certification is the stamp of kosher approval by a rabbinic Agency verifying they have checked the products ingredients, production facility and actual production to ensure all ingredients, derivatives, tools and machinery have no trace of non kosher substances. The Kosher Certified symbol assures consumers that both the actual product and its production adhere to all Kosher Law requirements.

Yes, all of the wines on our list are kosher. More specifically, all of the wines on our list are mevushal.
Mevushal wines, despite literally translating to "boiled" in Hebrew, are typically flash-pasteurized to meet rabbinical requirements without harming the wine. This process makes the wine less susceptible to ritual restrictions, allowing anyone, regardless of their religion, to open a bottle and maintain its kosher status. Non-mevushal wines, in contrast, require handling by Sabbath-observant Jews due to their greater religious sensitivity.
